October is almost gone!

October is almost gone! Don’t miss out on this month’s horror display.

What makes a good horror story?  In my estimation it is the story’s proximity to real life:  Could this really happen?

Monsters and ghosts are never as fearsome as the mental derangement of a friend, neighbor, family member, or of one’s self.

Check out some of the classics

  • Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
  • The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells
  • Dracula by Bram Stoker
  • The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
  • Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
  • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving

Or check out more contemporary works

  • Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey
  • American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
  • or several selections by Stephen King, the king of horror!

Selections can be checked out in traditional form, or one-click for digital format on your device!
